England captain Millie Bright has said that the team have been “itching to begin” their Women’s World Cup campaign. The Lionesses kick off their tournament against Haiti on Saturday, and Bright is confident that they can make a strong start.

“We’ve been working really hard in training, and we’re all really excited to get going,” said Bright. “We know that Haiti are a good team, but we’re confident in our ability to beat them. We’re ready to start our World Cup campaign on the front foot.”
England are one of the favorites to win the tournament, and they will be looking to build on their success at the 2019 Euros, where they reached the final. Bright believes that the team have the potential to go all the way in Australia and New Zealand.
“We have a great squad, and we’re all really motivated to win the World Cup,” said Bright. “We know that it’s going to be tough, but we’re up for the challenge. We’re ready to make history.”
